Students’ Page

Welcome to the Thamarai Students’ Page! Made for (and by) students, this page highlights the work made by Thamarai students. It showcases artwork, crafts, STEM projects, writing and other aspects of their creative and holistic learning. Thamarai follows Sri Aurobindo’s integral education philosophy which aims to develop all aspects of the being in harmony: the physical, the vital, the mental, the psychic, and the spiritual.
mental, the physical, the psychic, the spiritual, and the vital. Here is a space for students to showcase their work proudly, helping to develop themselves as creative thinkers and explorers.

Learning Leadership through STEM
By Ilam [translator Manya]

I enjoy doing STEM in Thamarai, working on various projects and learning to use new tools; I love working on the 3D printer and doing robotics, and recently I was happy to participate in a GoPro workshop, mentored by Mano.

We learnt about different GoPro models and how to operate them, then transferred our photos and videos to computers and learnt to edit them on Canva. Working with GoPros was completely new to me and I found it really interesting.

I’m more experienced at 3D printing and feel motivated to come up with and design my own projects. I’m grateful for the guidance my teachers have given me, which has enabled me to take up leadership.

I also learn languages at Thamarai— English, German, and Irish. I’ve developed so much confidence in myself through these skills I’ve learnt.
